I’m Cristina Bringas, I’ve been working my whole professional life for and within the arts and culture (specially through film). I founded DOQUMENTA (an international documentary festival based in Querétaro, México).
Right now I am the owner of Mimética fine art digital printing studio.

WHAT I DO
I connect people and I solve problems throught the arts and culture. I'm specialized in projects around film (festivals, distribution, exhibition, creation of new audiences, workshops); I love to create concepts and narrative ideas for events, shows and festivals; I know how to organize and produce art activities.

DOQUMENTA is an international documentary festival based in Queretaro, Mexico.
Runs year-round with several programs that screen films from all over the world.

ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR

I've been teaching since 2011. I teach Film Language, New Media Aesthetics, Audiovisual Production, History of Animation, Semiotics, Creative Industries, Film Distribution and Film Appreciation.
Also I've been teaching at workshops and other training sessions.
CITY CINEMATHEQUE
Cineteca Rosalío Solano
In 2017 I worked to create the first cinematheque of the city. It is installed in a former theatre. Now it is a venue devoted to film.
I made the executive project with Gabriel Hörner (the director of the City Museum).
Right now I am one of the curators of the monthly programs.
ADAPTATION AND TRANSLATION
Musicals
I'm a translator and adapter of lyrics for musicals. I've made several plays like Tick Tick Boom, The Drowsy Chaperone, Into the Woods, Baker's Wife, First Date, et.al.
Our translations have been in Amateur and Professional productions in Mexico.
SAN GABRIEL MISSION PLAYHOUSE
Marketing Intern
In 2010 I worked in Los Angeles helping to change the visual identity of the San Gabriel Mission Playhouse, a theatre in a very diverse community in California.
PUBLISHING
Art Books
I understand the production line of an art book. I've edited and published coffee table books for different artists (painters and photographers)
FILM CRITIC
Different Media
I've been writting film critic in serverial media since 2009.
